Customs now a proactive trade facilitator: Additional Commissioner

Underscoring a significant paradigm shift in India’s cross-border trade administration, P. Satish, IRS, Additional Commissioner of Customs, Hyderabad, stated that the Customs Department has successfully organised the Export Awareness Workshop, organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in association with the Warangal Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the M.K. Naidu Hotel & Convention Centre. Satish urged local exporters to leverage modernised, transparent customs procedures to maximise their international footprint. P.S. Pruthi, Senior Consultant at FICCI and Former Member of CESTAT, and Vijayalakshmi, Director at FICCI, emphasised FICCI’s critical role as the national issuing and guaranteeing association for both systems in India. Bommineni Ravinder Reddy, President of the Warangal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was also present.
